Frank Bartho­lomäus learned the pro­fes­sion of glass en­graver in Zwies­el and stud­ied sculp­ture at the Art Academy in Mu­nich with a focus on glass and light.

Then he went on the rolling through vari­ous glass stu­di­os and glass factor­ies, also learned the pro­fes­sion of glass grinder and made his mas­ter as a glass grinder.

After a long artist­ic break, he re­turned to his pro­fes­sion­al roots in 2013. Since then he works again as a freel­ance glass artist in his own stu­dio in Leipzig.
